About Us

This page contains a brief overview of what we do. It is always difficult to know what information people will be interested in, so if you do have any questions or wish to know more about our projects please do get in touch.

Briefly then, we

  • Hold and update a native plant and tree database through which we are able to help monitor local plant biodiversity working with the Local Biodiversity Action Plan (LBAP)
  • Have a nursery that supplies plants and trees of local genetic stock for local environmental projects
  • Carry out practical projects and research projects relating to local plant diversity and the LBAP
  • Provide information and articles to help broaden public awareness of their local plant heritage
  • Work with community groups and schools on diversification and enhancement of their local open spaces
  • Provide training and workshops on plant identification for adults and
    schoolchildren
  • Are available to consult for specific local environmental projects
